Each one of us has a unique breathing pattern and we hold onto stress and tension within our respiratory muscles which restricts us from breathing deeply and fully.

In this 2.5 workshop you will learn about how and where your body holds on to tension and practice the combination therapy, Transformational Breath, which involves circular breathing, acupressure (light touch – no needles!), sound, movement and positive affirmations.PHOTO-GIRL-ON-ROCK-MED-RES-1

This cutting-edge breath work can be powerful and transformative and great for those committed to change and self improvement.

You will experience the benefits of learning how to breathe fully and release tension from the body with ease. The body and mind can feel lighter, freer and much more relaxed just after one session.

Accessing a full diaphragmatic breath can help you:

Improve digestion, boost circulation, increase energy and fitness.

Generate feelings of calm, release old emotions, feel lighter and more focused.

Gain clarity, inspiration and connection with your intuition and de-clutter the mind of negative chit chat.


Studio 2 plants
The workshop will take place at East of Eden. This light and airy studio is situated on Hatherley Mews, a 2 minutes walk from Walthamstow Central underground and overground. All yoga mats, blankets and cushions are provided and there is shower facilities for you to use after the session should you be going out!

About Aimee Hartley who will be presenting the workshop:

Aimee studied and qualified as a Transformational Breath Facilitator and Workshop leader with Dr Judith Kravitz, Founder of Transformational Breath Foundation, in Italy and the US in 2011. She currently offers private Transformational Breath sessions and workshops in London and runs retreats in the UK. A qualified Professional Yoga Teacher she has taught in the UK, Australia and South East Asia over the past 6 years. She has seen 1,000’s of clients over the last six years who come to her to manage anxiety, eating disorders, depression, sleep disorders, stress, low energy levels and for those looking for transformation. Aimee has experienced hundreds of breath works in her yoga teaching training and practice and Transformational Breath is the most powerful conscious breath work she has come across to date.

This specially formulated workshop for women combines the powerful and cutting edge technique of Transformational Breath with deeply restorative Yin Yoga.

The afternoon will begin with an introductory workshop of Transformational Breathing – a powerful self-healing technique that enables you to clear restricted breathing patterns and fully access your breathing capacity.  This can help you feel freer emotionally, physically and mentally. Letting go of the breath and learning to access a fuller respiratory system enables you to release stress and physical tension and manage negative thought patterns which helps you gain more clarity.

A unique combination of five traditional therapies, you will experience the conscious power of all of these healing modalities in the first half of the workshop.  This will then be followed by a unique yoga programme especially formulated to enhance the senses and stimulate deeper feelings within the body.

By learning how to improve your individual breathing pattern you can release tension from the body, relax the mind and find a place of calm in your being.

Through the physical and emotional grounding of Yin Yoga, this will focus on the first Chakra, Muladhara opening and stretching the lower body rooting your attention downwards to renew confidence and commitment to the next steps of your life’s journey.

The session will close with a guided relaxation.
